Bright Beginnings' program offers a strong academic curriculum with all the extras: field trips, parent participation, child portfolios, outdoor gardens and classrooms and well-trained teaching professionals. According to our research, only UVA (with ties to two UVA sanctioned centers) has any type of employee childcare initiative. Both centers have waiting lists and enroll children by lottery.
Consider:
Studies show that employees with quality child care arrangements are more productive, positive contributors at work and have much better absenteeism and tardiness habits than their counterparts.
While many companies acknowledge the importance of offering family friendly schedules and child care benefits, most are unable to allocate funding for on site child care or child care benefits.
Local Background: Local options for corporate childcare are minimal because most child care centers do not have the flexibility to offer location options, addition space and the financial stability and creative flexibility to partner successfully.
According to our research only UVA (with ties to two UVA sanctioned centers) has any type of employee childcare initiative. Both centers have waiting lists and enroll children by lottery.
