Meg has worked with Bright Beginnings Preschool since 1998. She trained as a teacher assistant while in high school and moved into a lead teacher position as well as office assistant during college. Meg graduated from St. Anne's-Belfied in 2002 and Penn State University in May 2006. Meg holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in American Studies. She is personable and energetic with a passion for quality early childhood programming. Meg has been a management trainee since August 2006. Meg particularly loves children's literature-her favorite early childhood book is The Little House. She also loves doing art projects and cooking experiences. Meg's goal is to provide a secure and creative environment for our children and strong, open communication with parents and staff.

Shannon Blackburn - Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

Ms. shannon graduated from Radford University in 2007 with a Master's in Education and Special Education. Most of her life has been spent overseas but calls Virginia home. Shannon loves teaching and developing curriculum and lesson plans. She integrates music and multicultural education into each routine and classroom setup.

Sue Sims - Infant Teacher

Sue's positive personality, extremely high level of energy, willingness to adapt to changes in a fast paced, ever changing environment and her stellar attendance record make her a role model for young teachers. Her consistent hard work, willingness to give positive and constructive advice and most especially the great care she takes of our infants are all reasons why Sue was awarded our first annual Teacher of the Year Award!
