| Sample Newsletter Classroom News: Monkey Room: The Monkeys are enjoying the summer. We are working on our manners. Learning to say please, thank you, good job. We are still busy working on colors and shapes. We are enjoying the Toddler Explorers - ask me all about it! Giraffe Room: This week the Giraffes are celebrating Crazy Carnival week! We are reading great books about carnivals and circuses: "Up and Down on the Merry Go Round" by Bill Martin Jr., "Carnival" by M.C. Helldorfer and "Circus" by Lois Ehlert. We are measuring our height to see if we are tall enough to play carnival games and go on rides and we are experimenting with balloons, as well as painting with them! We are marching to drums, singing with Carl the Color Clown and tossing basketballs. For Project Green this week we are identifying trees. We would also like to wish our friend Julia a Happy 2nd Birthday! Lion Room: This week the Lions are roaring about carnivals and all the fun things that happen at carnivals! We have been talking about the letter F and reviewing letter recognition. We went on a nature walk for Project Green and brought back leaves from the trees to do our art project. We have been talking about taking turns and using the ball game to demonstrate! Congratulations to Amaya and Katie they are the first to start potty training! Zebra Room: This week in the Zebra class we are enjoying summer fun at the Circus and Carnivals! We are talking about what we see at the Circus and how the rides are at the Carnivals. We are super busy working on our lower and upper case letter F and reviewing writing our name in our journals. We will be busy doing great art work (check it out around the room). Chameleon Room: The Chameleons are under the Big Top this week, exploring the Circus from the inside out. We’ll try our hands (literally) at magic tricks and general “tomfoolery” and other clownlike behavior. We’ll also use our imaginations to create a circus scene, complete with an animal train to depict the arrival of the circus!
