Mill Creek Newsletter

Dear Parents and Friends,

October is an exciting month for us here at Bright Beginnings Preschool. We have so many fun activities and events coming up! We hope that you will join Ms. Bonnie and Ms. Kimberly for their “Stop, Drop, and Roll” Children’s Night Out today! Next week, we will be taking our class and individual pictures on the 15th and 16th!

Halloween is coming up fast and we are very excited! On October 29th and 30th we will be having class parties and parades starting at 10 am. We do have two days of parties in order to accommodate all schedules. We want everyone to be able to participate! There will be sign-up sheets for snacks and treats outside each classroom door and parents are welcome to come in and participate (and take pictures!). We do not put on our costumes until after snack to avoid any spills and messes, so we can always use extra hands as we get dressed for the parades! We are also having a school-wide pumpkin carving contest! If you are picking up a pumpkin for your family please think about donating one to your child’s class! The children will be designing (and the teachers carving) the pumpkins in the next two weeks!

Thank you to our Parent Advisory Committee for attending our first meeting on Monday, October 5th. We are looking forward to implementing the suggestions that were made at the meeting. For one, we’d like to provide a second channel of communication between parents and teachers other than those couple of minutes at drop-off and pick-up. Teacher email addresses will now be available (check for them in the class notes section of the newsletter). Please understand that they will not be able to answer immediately, anything that requires a quick response please refer to the front desk. Feel free to call or email Ms. Casey!
