ACADEMIC PHILOSOPHY (Kathe and Aimee)
A developmentally appropriate curriculum offers children the opportunity to develop and experience life at their own pace. A positive self image and a core knowledge result from the opportunities to grow in any environment rich in all elements of mathematics, literature, science, music, drama, art and movement.
During the traditional school year months (fall, winter and spring), Children’s Humanities programming is offered. (dance, yoga, computers, cooperative games) presented either by outside specialty teachers or qualified staff as well as afternoon part time staff.
Both afternoon programs allow children to mix with other classrooms and allow ratios and teacher dismissal patterns to be fluid.
